What becomes more complex is the documentation itself: agentic AI introduces additional components such as tool usage, external data sources, and decision policies, that must also be described and managed within the regulatory framework.
  3. Ethics-by-Design. Ethical principles such as fairness, transparency, and human oversight are still relevant and important. For agentic systems, applying these principles requires considering not only the underlying model but also how the agent is allowed to act, which tools it can access, and how humans remain informed and in control throughout the process.
  4. Mandatory Risk Assessments. Risk assessments help organizations understand potential issues before deploying AI. With agentic AI, the assessment needs to cover more than just model behavior: it must also include how the agent interacts with systems, what actions it is permitted to take, and how errors or misinterpretations could propagate through a workflow.
