The development of the Android Puls tablet
Deutsche Telekom launched the Puls tablet. This tablet allows customers to navigate the full range of digital services offered by Deutsche Telekom. Customers can easily watch television content, check their voicemails and control their smart homes all from one device. To develop the software of the Puls, Deutsche Telekom appealed to a team of four Android developers. “Working with Conclusion Intelligence was a home run. The concept
It all started with an invitation to participate in the Telekom’s “beauty contest“ for developing a new consumer device. Deutsche Telekom asked several suppliers to showcase their capabilities by providing their ideas for the new tablet.
The challenge
Deutsche Telekom was faced with the challenge of merging two different experiences: the services of Deutsche Telekom with the standard Android interface. Developing a tablet that not only fulfills these tasks but is also entertaining and user-friendly has proved to be a major task for designers and developers.
“We already knew Conclusion Intelligence to be a competent and reliable partner: they delivered our Speedtest application in 2014. The Speedtest is a critical application for us with thousands of visitors each month. They delivered the application for a fixed price from start to GoLive in a really short period of just three months. We worked agilely with the team using scrum. The experience and result were positive. That’s why we asked Conclusion Intelligence to participate in the beauty contest.”

Using specific Android components, Conclusion Intelligence managed to deliver a working prototype in just 5 weeks. From that point on, Conclusion Intelligence was involved in the development of Puls. Deutsche Telekom is very satisfied with the result and the user reviews indicate the project was a total success. The first batch of the tablet was completely sold out within just 3 months.
